Elena Dimitrova is a menswear designer known for her focus on youth culture, spirit and identity.
Being focused on youth, her work is a balanced mix of traditional menswear and unusual materials.
The mood and the research are in the center of Elena’s design process.

She moved from her home town to Sofia (Bulgaria) in 2011 in order to study fashion design in New Bulgarian University. She graduated in November 2015.

In 2014, Elena successfully completed a fashion course in Central Saint Martins (London).

She interned at a renowned fashion house in Bulgaria. She got an offer to work as a designer, but she declined because she preferred to focus on her BA Collection.

In 2015, her work appears in ELLE Magazine. Lately, the same year, as a collaborative project, she took part in an event at the conceptual designer platform IVAN ASEN 22.

In the spring of 2015 she started working on her BA graduate collection – “Shadowplay”, which gained global recognition.

In September 2015, Elena creates ELENADIMITROVA – a half brand / a half project.

In November 2015, she was selected as Black Sheep by Not Just A Label, the world’s leading designer platform for showcasing and nurturing today's pioneers in contemporary fashion.

In 2016, her work appears in some of the most influential magazines for men's fashion: Vanity Teen and MMS.

A candidate for the 2016 edition of the LVMH Prize : Young Fashion Designer : Graduates

In April 2016, her first online store opened.

Custom-made pieces from her BA Collection were used in the music video for "Awoo" by the Grammy-nominated Sofi Tukker.

She moved to London in September - she is studying MA Fashion in Kingston University.

She interned at one of her favourite menswear designers - Alex Mullins.

She was one of the 5 Kingston University finalists for the International competition by Zara - "Shape The Invisible".

Elena was shortlisted for Diversity Now 2017 x i-D.
